The agreement covers rental of the venue for two days only (Friday and Saturday) to accommodate delivery of food, alcohol linens, etc. If you require an extra day (Thursday) for setup, there will be an additional charge.
The venue has a maximum capacity of 400 people. Anything over that number would be subject to additional charges (a fifth security guard and extra cleaning expenses). Guests should not be milling outside after 11 p.m. as they disturb the neighbors.
This agreement covers rental of the parish center only. If you wish to have a church ceremony, you will need to contact the administrator to make arrangements via telephone (213-628-2938) or email croatsvantela@sbcglobal.com.
Kitchen: Full use of the kitchen is available for licensed and bonded caterers. Caterers wishing to use the kitchen for cooking must provide proof of eligibility. Otherwise, food catered in may be warmed and prepped for service.
Dishes, coffee cups, cutlery and a water glass are part of your rental fee.
Tablecloths, flowers, decorations, food plus additional glassware are your responsibility.
Cleaning: Washing dishes and cleaning after dinner are covered under this agreement.
Audio/Video: In-house tech support must be used.
Security: Four security guards will be hired for your event. As of March 1, 2020, the rate per security guard is $21 per hour with a five hour minimum ($21 X 5 = $105 X 4 = $420 for the five hour minimum). We will deduct this payment plus overage from your deposit fee. The remainder of your deposit will be refunded, less any possible damage to the premises. Please note that the deposit fee of $1,000 does not go twoard hall rental.
Deposit: In order to secure the venue, a $1,000 deposit is due within two weeks of your quote. The rental of the facility is due in full one month prior to your event.
Deposit Refund Policy: If you cancel within six months of your event, your deposit will be refunded. If your event is cancelled six months plus one day of the event date, the deposit is lost. As noted above, the security payment will be deducted from this deposit. If there is any damage by you or your guests to our facilities or kitchen/dining supplies, the remainder of your deposit will be impacted.
Notes and Restrictions:
1. Alcohol may not be sold unless you have a valid event liquor license which must be posted at the bar. If requested to do so, St. Anthony's reserves the right to sell alcohol beverages at your event.
2. Bouncers are not allowed.
3. Children must be monitored - the security guards are not there to babysit. There are steps leading down to the parking levels. By law, the iron gates enclosing the patio must be left unlocked in case of emergency evacuation. There are rocks around the trees on the patio that may cause damage when thrown. Please make sure that parents monitor their children for their own safety!
4. We are located in a neighborhood. Activity and nosie after 11 p.m. will disturb our neighbors. Therefore, we must insist that the music be kept inside the hall and at a reasonable decibal level.
5. Alcohol brings out the worst in people and underage drinking, substance abuse, illegal activity will ruin your event. Instead of having an "open" party, invite the people who are amily friends and who won't get out of hand.
Alcohol distribution and music must stop by Sunday at 1:00 a.m. The premises must be vacated by 1:30 a.m. Linen rentals and leftover alcohol may be picked up Sunday morning as the hall is open during services and classes from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
No glass been bottles are permitted in the ballroom - cans only. Beer that is in bottles must be poured into plastic cups at the bar. This bottle restriction is necessary due to past instances. No hard liquor bottles bottles should be placed on the tables (wine only). Hard liquor must be pourded from the bar. Additional alcohol may NOT be brought in after 9:00 p.m. When you run out, you run out. Security will enforce this rule.
